Eye Tests
What does an eye test include?
Our eye examinations are more comprehensive than a standard sight test. They include detailed vision assessment, eye health checks, and advanced imaging such as OCT scans where appropriate.
How often should I have an eye test?
For most people, we recommend every one to two years. This may vary depending on your age, prescription, and eye health.
What is an OCT scan and do I need one?
OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) is an advanced scan that provides detailed images of the eye, allowing us to detect conditions such as glaucoma or macular degeneration at an early stage. We recommend it as part of a thorough eye examination.
Glasses & In-House Lab
How quickly can I get my glasses?
In many cases, we can make your glasses within 30 minutes to an hour, depending on your prescription and lens availability. Some jobs can even be completed sooner.
Do you offer same-day or emergency glasses?
Yes. Our in-house lab allows us to provide same-day and emergency glasses, which is a key benefit for many of our patients.
Can you repair my glasses?
Yes, we offer repairs and adjustments, often while you wait. We can also clean and restore your frames using specialist equipment.
Can I keep my existing frames?
In many cases, yes. We are happy to fit new lenses into your current frames if they are suitable.
Contact Lenses
Do you offer contact lens fittings?
Yes, we provide full contact lens consultations, including fittings for daily, monthly, toric, and multifocal lenses, as well as more specialist options.
I’ve never worn contact lenses before - can you help?
Absolutely. We provide full guidance, including teaching you how to insert and remove lenses, along with trial lenses to try at home.
Do you offer lenses for more complex prescriptions?
Yes, we regularly fit lenses for astigmatism, presbyopia, and other more complex requirements, including specialist lenses where needed.
Myopia Management
What is myopia management?
Myopia management is a way of slowing the progression of short-sightedness in children using specialised lenses and monitoring.
What age is suitable for myopia management?
We typically see children from around age 3 through to 18.
Why is it important?
Slowing myopia progression can reduce the risk of serious eye conditions later in life, helping to protect long-term eye health.
